Biodynamic Estate Coffee Direct from our Farm
Floresta Organic Coffee is grown on our Demeter certified farm in the mountainous Chapada Diamantina region of north-east Brasil where we follow the purest organic and biodynamic farming standards. The conservation of biodiversity in our region, along with sustainable practices form the basis of all our production principles.
Nelson with Yellow CatuaiAs a farmer-led initiative, Floresta Organic Coffee is brought to the European consumer through Direct Trade, allowing our farming community to have direct ownership of the distribution of our quality product. This form of trade creates a communication link between the consumer and the producer allowing both parties to better understand the issues involved at every stage of the process; from the farming of the beans to the final consumption of a cup of coffee by a European consumer.
Direct Trade is the fairest form of trade as it allows the producers to move up the value chain thus benefiting directly from the sale of the finished roasted product.
To complete the entire cycle from Farm to Cup, Floresta organic coffee is hand-roasted in small batches to ensure that the smooth and chocolaty taste our beans is carried trough to every cup.
